LIFE// Follow my Instagram

I've been pretty inactive from blogging lately because nothing in my life is really worth blogging lately... However the little, vaguely interesting moments of my life are all chronicled on my instagram so if any of you have missed me even a little bit, follow my instagram: JCKJNSS

LIFE// London College of Fashion

If you've been following the blog's twitter you'll know the reason for my lack of activity is that I've been really busy with my exams, which thankfully are now all over, as well as uni interviews.

To cut a long story short, one of those interviews was with London College of Fashion and since the interview I've been offered a conditional offer to attend which obviously I'm ecstatic about.

I'd heard all sorts of horror stories about the interview process and unsurprisingly some of them were true but not all of them. I'll be moving to London in september so you can look forward to all sorts of updates about that as well as lot more blog posts as of september since I'll be so close to so many fashion opportunities.

LIFE// My Birthday

My birthday was a little over a week ago now and it was really great. my parents were really generpus and bought me, Prada and Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave along with my iPhone 5 and a new pair of black 510s as well as some money to go shopping with, which I've spent on a really nice bonded cotton jacket which I'll save for outfit posts and the suede brogues you can see above, as well as a few other things.

my friends were so generous as well, from the lot I ended up getting a beautiful soft yellow check shirt from Cos, a white textured jumper from Zara, some all black converse, a mug (better than it sounds), Tom Ford Black Orchid, two bottles of Vodka, a book called Fashion Scandinavia, that I've had my eye on since fashion week and some all white  Air Force Ones and the new Justin Timberlake album from my girlfriend. I'm also told there is more to come...

All in all a great 18th birthday...

STYLE// Brand Appreciation: COS

"PERFECTLY BALANCED IN EVERY SINGLE ASPECT"

I attended an interview for Fashion Buying at De Montfort University today and I was asked the question "Do you have a favourite high street store and if so why?".

The answer was immediately obvious; COS. COS represents everything Menswear should be, it's timeless and classical but in no way boring, it doesn't try hard to adhere to every whim of the fickle fashion world and as such has one of the most concise brand images on the high street.

It's effortless but not sloppy, timeless but not boring, mature but not stuffy. In as few words as possible it is perfectly balanced in every single aspect

LIFE// "OUT OF STOCK"

I've been keeping an eye out for the perfect backpack for what feels like months now, they're nearly impossible to find amongst the sea of "man-bags" available which for some reason I've never been a fan of. But at last I found one that I thought was perfect, it was black, not canvas, plain but with something a little extra. So Imagine my thoughts when I read the words "out of stock", it's painful.

It's probably my fault for neglecting asos so much but if anybody knows where I can get one of these ASOS x PUMA backpacks PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

PEOPLE// Romek Gellardo Gello

Romek writes one of my favourite blogs, it's interesting for me to read because he is so close to me in age that it's both inspirational but not inaccessible like some of my other favourite bloggers who live such different lifestyles.

Romek has kindly answered some questions to help us get to know the guy behind Gelardo Fashion

JACKSSTYLE: Tell me about yourself?
ROMEK GELLARDO GELLO: I'm turning 17 next month so I'm still going to school. My hobby is music and I love fashion that's why I ended up being a bloger.
When I think about it right now I can't imagine doing anything else.

JS: Describe your style in 5 words?
RGG: Sporty, Street, Classic, Minimalistic, Urban.

JS: Who is your biggest fashion idol?
RGG: Givenchy I love everything about their style. When it comes to a spesific person there are way to many.

JS: What interests you about fashion?
RGG: I love the personal freedom. Everybody can express themselves and identify themselves with their own style. Fashion is not only about looking good it's about being yourself and proudly showing it off.

JS: If you had to pick one item of clothing to save in your wardrobe what would you pick?
RGG: Definitely a shirt from Givenchy or some sick Jordan 4.

LIFE// London Fashion Week SS14 Street Style

This was my first fashion week and it was really great, I don't wanna name drop (except for I do so I will), we saw Mark-Francis Vandelli, who was dressed impeccably as always, Victoria Baker-Harber, Demi Lovato, Cara Delevigne (Who is surprisingly short in real life and seemed really sweet) alongside Jourdan Dunn (Perfection), Louis Tomlinson and girlfriend, Olivia Palmero, Greg James and Brix Smith-Start, as well as a lot of other fashion bloggers and beauty bloggers according to my friends.

Here are some of my favourite street style picks from the weekend

Also I got to meet Ivania Carpio from http://love-aesthetics.blogspot.co.uk and she was really sweet.
