STYLE: All a man could need for the summer months

If you're like me and your wardrobe is made for winter and awkwardly forced into summer environments then that probably means you're already going through the stress of thinking about a summer wardrobe.

Every year I continue to buy heavy jumpers and warm coats all the way through summer just to regret it all when I look back at photos after the summer months. So I've put together a "capsule collection" of all the clothes a man could want and need for the warmest season. A whole summer wardrobe for less than £700! Now £700 may seem a lot but £300 of that is on Penfield jackets which last forever and in a classic style so they'll never go out of trend, many of the items will probably be in your wardrobe already and  some crafty penny-pinching will bring that total way down (albeit at the cost of quality). Some example outfits can be seen below...

I've been really drawn towards the colour blue lately, teamed with crisp silhouettes I think it looks really great. Especially monochromatic blue outfits, which brought me to Alexander Wang. He's been one of my favourite men's designers as of late, the shoes for me are questionable but I love the rest, namely the outerwear which brings something extra to his ready to wear collections.

Recent buys: More Black Shoes

I think it's a universal philosophy that on most occasions you cannot go wrong with black. Well that has definitely been my philosophy in regards to buying shoes as of late. A few months ago I bought shoes when I thought I needed them, now I've bought 3 pairs in less than a month, all black!

Firstly I bought the Jeremy Scott Winged Trainers, well I say bought I received them as a gift for christmas from my nan. After looking on the internet for hours I managed to find a pair for a little bit more than £50 which is quite reasonable considering the recommended retail price is roughly double that (which I personally definitely would not pay). They aren't very comfortable at first, being quite high and very stiff but after they break in they aren't as bad although the the arch support is a little tough.

Then recently I bought my Nike Air Max 90s for £90 which I would say are worth every penny, they're comfortable straight out the box and are brilliant for exercise although that isn't what I mainly wanted them for, the arch support is great and you really can feel the bounce in the heal, although I suppose it takes a great design to last for nearly 20 years.

What I Wore: Dress Down Friday at College

I've mentioned before that my college has quite an annoying dress-code so its fun on fridays to wear things you normally can't like jeans and converse.

What I wore to my first day back at College

Firstly sorry for the awful photograph, I didn't have very long to take it. But anyway, it was my first day back at college day, it was a fairly easy day, I only had double English Literature, which is my favourite lesson at the minute anyway and I didn't start until 11:10. I had to leave early because the dress code at my college is no jeans, and all my trousers were dirty so I bought a new pair, but I still didn't leave till half 10 so that was nice. So anyway everyone go hype is on lookbook!

A half-made decision that I might chicken out on...

A long time ago a friend and I decided to set up a vintage clothing store on eBay but we never went through with it, mostly down to me I think. Anyway yesterday my friend told me she's decided to do it alone because we never have chance to do it together and it got me thinking of how much money I waste on food and just general rubbish. So the remaining £110 I have left from christmas I'm gonna invest in something. Not quite sure what yet, but I don't want to waste it, so I'll be keeping everyone updated about that via this blog.

New College Shoes

The dress-code at my college is smart casual which is ridiculous really, its not hard for me because my signature look is essentially a shirt and block colour trouser but it is difficult when it gets to shoes, I bought some boat shoes a few months back when I started and they've become hideous already which is pretty bad considering they were £45, but then its became a bit of a joke within my family how quickly I go through shoes so that could just be me.

Anyway, I've just bought these and I think they're a steal for £30, I bought a size 8 even though I'm usually a size 9 because the nines just didn't look as nice as the eights, but I wore them shopping today and they were sooooo comfortable, which is more than I could say for the boat shoes so I'm happy so far. I think I might wear them outside of college too, they're really comfortable and sometimes I feel like my Vans really spoil my outfit.

So yeah I'll probably be putting an outfit together either today or tomorrow (realising it is 1:00am here) and posting it both on lookbook and on here.

My Supreme Cap came!!

My supreme cap was delivered today so i put this outfit together incorporating it, fairly happy considering I spent all of ten minutes putting it together. You can't really go wrong with all black though.

It's Christmas!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their day and got everything they wanted, I know I have! I've had a great christmas this year, despite the almost traditional argument with my brother. Anyway I've had loads of clothes so will finally be able to post some nice outfits on here and on lookbook, and here's my first one:

I always like to document my christmas outfit in some way I just put more effort in this year and I'm pretty happy with the results feel free to hype it on lookbook.

Reading Material

I managed to get this for £1 today, I might have had to wait over 6 months to save £4.70 but whatever, I'm still really happy to have it. I've decided that V and i-D are my favourite magazines, I find the really big ones scary, i.e. Vogue.
