Daphne turns seventeen tomorrow (which must be painful to take in for all those girls still hoping to develop and grow into their features) and on paper she should be unattractive, her features are unbalanced with oversized lips, a tiny nose, eyes that are suspiciously far apart and half the time she has no visible eyebrows, but instead there's something strangely attractive about her....
...I suppose thats why she has been privileged with two Vogue covers (one paris, one japan), an i-D cover, a Numero cover, a LOVE cover and a V magazine cover. Not to mention countless editorials and ad campaigns including those of behemoth fashion houses, Versace and Givenchy, all before her 17th birthday. Below is a gallery of her work:
I honestly can see Daphne's career going from strength to strength as she gets older, many authorities already consider her a supermodel, although I think the term 'supermodel' is thrown around a little too loosely these days, I honestly do feel that Daphne could achieve that level if she hasn't already. Having already had a career so strong can only point towards a bright future for this Dutch teen, although it wouldn't be the first time a hugely successful model disappeared into obscurity. Daphne is definitely my favourite female model of 2011.
