TREND SPOTTED: FLORALS FOR MEN?

Florals are nothing ground-breaking for spring but for men?

Now, this is definitely a trend for the brave man, and isn't easy to pull off. Donatella plastered florals throughout her Spring/Summer collection this season at Milan and they all looked great on the quintessentially masculine models she used, I'm not sure they'd have the same affect teamed with a softer jawline but lets say no more.

I'm not sure I'd feel totally comfortable in any of these looks, but some more accessible and played down male florals I might consider can be seen below:

Supreme x Vans Era 'Paisley'

Really loving these for this summer, although I'm a little off Vans at the minute I do like them for summer and these ones are great.

T by Alexander Wang 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

Alexander Wang's T by Alexander Wang collection for fall winter 2012 collection really caught my eye when I came across it this afternoon. It has a classy but urban feel to it, which is hard to balance and can all too easily turn out cheesy but I really love this collection, the colours are restrained and the fit sticks to the modern style that Wang does so well with, which is probably what keeps this collection classy.

It's nice to see that Harrington Jackets will be around next fall, as well as waffle knits, makes me feel a bit more comfortable with investing in a Harrington Jacket this late into the season, which I think I'll consider soon, especially considering the steals I've seen on eBay for them.

Recent buys: More Black Shoes

I think it's a universal philosophy that on most occasions you cannot go wrong with black. Well that has definitely been my philosophy in regards to buying shoes as of late. A few months ago I bought shoes when I thought I needed them, now I've bought 3 pairs in less than a month, all black!

Firstly I bought the Jeremy Scott Winged Trainers, well I say bought I received them as a gift for christmas from my nan. After looking on the internet for hours I managed to find a pair for a little bit more than £50 which is quite reasonable considering the recommended retail price is roughly double that (which I personally definitely would not pay). They aren't very comfortable at first, being quite high and very stiff but after they break in they aren't as bad although the the arch support is a little tough.

Then recently I bought my Nike Air Max 90s for £90 which I would say are worth every penny, they're comfortable straight out the box and are brilliant for exercise although that isn't what I mainly wanted them for, the arch support is great and you really can feel the bounce in the heal, although I suppose it takes a great design to last for nearly 20 years.

What I Wore: Dress Down Friday at College

I've mentioned before that my college has quite an annoying dress-code so its fun on fridays to wear things you normally can't like jeans and converse.

What I wore to my first day back at College

Firstly sorry for the awful photograph, I didn't have very long to take it. But anyway, it was my first day back at college day, it was a fairly easy day, I only had double English Literature, which is my favourite lesson at the minute anyway and I didn't start until 11:10. I had to leave early because the dress code at my college is no jeans, and all my trousers were dirty so I bought a new pair, but I still didn't leave till half 10 so that was nice. So anyway everyone go hype is on lookbook!

A half-made decision that I might chicken out on...

A long time ago a friend and I decided to set up a vintage clothing store on eBay but we never went through with it, mostly down to me I think. Anyway yesterday my friend told me she's decided to do it alone because we never have chance to do it together and it got me thinking of how much money I waste on food and just general rubbish. So the remaining £110 I have left from christmas I'm gonna invest in something. Not quite sure what yet, but I don't want to waste it, so I'll be keeping everyone updated about that via this blog.
